Australian Supersport Championship leader Troy Herfoss won the opening race of the weekend alongside the V8 Supercars L&H 500 at Phillip Island this afternoon.
The race was lead in the early stages by privateer Suzuki runner Brodie Waters, who has returned to form after a frustrating round in Queensland, before Team Suzuki’s Herfoss took over the proceedings and stretched out to a healthy 2.340 second victory.
Waters remained in second for a return to the podium, while AARK Racing Triumph’s Christan Casella claimed the final podium position in the 10-lap outing.
The battle for fourth was a close one, with Yamaha privateer Ben Burke edging out Dylan Mavin and ‘Mad’ Mike Jones, while Aaron Gobert held the position until falling behind the trio in the final stages.
