The Australian Superbike Championship will be televised live on Channel Seven at the final two rounds of 2010 when the series joins forces with the V8 Supercars Championship Series.
Series promoter International Entertainment Group announced the news on Saturday afternoon, revealing that they have invested $110,000 into the television package that will see the Superbikes televised during the V8 Supercars telecast on Seven.
In a revealing statement, IEG said that it has already spent $200,000 on the current television programming, with an investment of over $100,000 going into advertising the series during the season.
The series is set to remain on FOX Sports during 2011 in an increased package that will see all classes televised in “varying levels of coverage”, while Superbike and Supersport will both be shown in their entirety. Superpole will also be shown.
IEG has stated that support classes will receive at least 10 minutes each per round, as well as the presentation – increasing their investment by 60 percent in a bid to increase sponsorship potential for competitors in the series.
