European Husqvarna factory Enduro rider Matti Seistola will contest next weekend’s Moree round of the Rockstar Energy MX Nationals in New South Wales in the Pro Lites class, before also campaigning the season finale at Coolum in Queensland at the end of the month.
Seistola won the European MX2 Championship in 2004, now competing in the E1 class in the Enduro World Championship racing the all-new Husqvarna TE 250 beside Antoine Meo and Aussie Chris Hollis.
The Finnish rider said he is looking forward to racing in the Australian Lites class and is not sure what to expect from the competition, though guaranteed he will be giving 100 percent.
Australia Husqvarna importer Paul Feeney Group welcomes the European.
“We are looking forward to seeing Matti race and have no expectations of the results,” director Paul Feeney commented. “It will be a great opportunity for all the team to work with a world class rider. I’m sure he will surprise a lot of people.”
Seistola enjoyed podium success at the fourth round of the 2010 Enduro World Championship at the GP of Poland – his first ever EWC podium in his first season in the E1 class.
