The 2010 Australian Junior Dirt Track Championship kicks of at the Kurri Kurri Motorcycle Club from 2-4 July.
The club, located near Newcastle, NSW is home to the likes of world champions Casey Stoner and Chad Reed. With the count-down well and truly on, the club is thrilled to be hosting the Australian championship and is overwhelmed by the number of entries they’ve received.
“We have had 150 entries for more than 240 bikes for the weekend,” Club Spokesperson and event organiser Marsha Newell said. “In addition to some track re-surfacing and a new scoring tower we had to extend the pit area because there were so many bikes.
“We’re all quite excited – it’s the biggest event of the year for these riders and should put the Kurri Kurri track on the map too.”
The massive weekend will showcase some of Australia’s best Junior dirt track riders, and could feature some future world champions.
