Taking place on the same terrain as the well renowned Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) the 2010 KTM Sunny Corner Trail Bike Ride will run on marked trails within The Sunny Corner State Forest on the weekend of 18-19 September.
Entries are now open for the non competitive event, and all registered riders go in the running to win a 2011 KTM 450 EXC, a 2010 KTM 50 SX and a Pro Alloy motorcycle trailer.
This year’s event will see two 60 to 80 kilometre loops available at a start time of 8:30am, allowing riders to elect to ride either the southern loop or the northern loop. This will ensure a much better ride with only half the field on any one loop at any given time, then riding the opposite loop in the afternoon.
Anyone with a road license and road registered bike can enter the event. Riders are welcome to arrive on Saturday 18 September, where they are able to go for a ride in the forest and browse the trade displays, before setting up camp in the Sunny Corner State Forest.
Evening entertainment at the camp site will include a live band in the evening, plus a bonfire and full catering facilities. Alternatively, riders can arrive for the first group departure early Sunday morning on September 19.
Due to an increase in administration fees by Forests NSW, event organisers had to increase entry fees for 2010 to $140pp for early birds registered on-line before 7 August, and for all other entries after the early bird $160 per person.
Entry to the event includes the ride, plus a breakfast and lunch voucher, and a ticket into the draw for the prizes.
The Central Tablelands Motorcycle Club will supply sweep riders, recovery vehicles, and full medical services throughout the day, to provide each group departure with mechanical and safety support on the well arrowed, and marked out loops.
KTM Australia in association with NSW dealerships will also set up a range of new KTM motorcycles for public viewing.
