Team Suzuki’s Troy Herfoss claimed his second victory of the weekend in Supersport race two at Queensland Raceway this afternoon, the Goulburn rider clinching his first double victory since switching to road racing last year.
Herfoss was again lead in the early laps by fellow Suzuki rider Brodie Waters, before the point leader took control and eventually won by 0.645 of a second after the race was red flagged on the 12th of 16 laps.
Rounding out the podium was again Chris Quin, the Yamaha rider claiming his maiden overall podium at a national level in the Supersport ranks.
The big moment of the race came on the warm-up lap when Aaron Gobert was forced out of the running, a dislodged handlebar bolt forcing the race one fourth place finisher out before the race commenced.
Fourth in the race was Christan Casella for Triumph, with Ryan Taylor rounding out the top five. That pair finished in those results overall for the weekend.
