MXTV’s first episode of 2010 proved a huge hit in its debut on Fuel TV last week, with the ever-popular dirt bike television show enjoying a successful transition onto Foxtel/Austar’s FuelTV on channel 516.
MXTV host Lee Hogan is excited with the switch to Fuel TV, with episode two of series 10 set to air this Wednesday, 2 June at 9.30pm.
“It’s fantastic that there was such a great response and we know the team at Fuel are as pumped as are we by the number of viewers who tuned in to watch the show,” Hogan said.
The success in the inaugural Fuel TV episode follows on from last year’s huge season of MXTV, which was picked up by Motors TV, Europe’s premier high octane motorsport cable channel. The last series was seen in over 50 countries, with over two million viewers throughout Europe getting an up-close insight into Aussie riders and events.
In fact, the success of the show was such that Motors TV programming executives hand picked the program to air in their initial transmission across Asia recently. As a result Australia’s favourite dirt bike show was seen in over 15 countries throughout the region including India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and China.
MXTV producer and co-host Brendan Bell was justifiably proud of how far the show had come since it’s inception nine years ago.
“We really started the show just to try and promote the sport in Australia so we’re stoked we can now promote our sport, riders, events and the show’s great sponsors to the rest of the world,” Bell commented.
This week’s episode of MXTV will be shown in Australia on Fuel TV this Wednesday, 2 June at 9.30pm, before repeats will air on Thursday at 3.00am and next Monday at 2:30pm.
As usual, MXTV viewers will enjoy highlights from every facet of dirt bike riding, catch up with the biggest names in the sport and visit great events across the country.
This week Ian ‘Macca’ McGregor is back with his popular ‘Blokes & Their Bikes’ segment, the guys drop in on the recent ADB magazine 450 shootout, head to East Timor for an event that needs to be seen to be believed, check out some new products, and ‘The Fro’ hammers one of Honda’s fun bikes in the latest bike test.
