Following a bumper start to the 2010 series last weekend in Wollongong, entries are now open for round two of the 2010 The Helmet Warehouse NSW Motocross Championships, powered by High Roller Energy at Hastings Valley MCC in Port Macquarie on 12-14 June.

The opening round of the series kicked-off at Mt Kembla in Wollongong over the Easter long-weekend, and despite the bucket-loads of rain leading into and over the weekend, record numbers still turned out to brave the weather and turn on one of the most memorable weekends of motocross action in the championship’s history.

Given the fantastic turnout and incredible action, round two entries have opened early to allow everyone the chance to get in and not miss out on the chance to take their spot on the gate in Port Macquarie.

“We are overwhelmed at the response we’ve received to round one at Wollongong, not to mention how enthused we were at the sheer turnout of riders – despite the less than ideal conditions,” said Motorcycling NSW office manager Kerrie Mulyk.

“It’s a great indication of how well the series has grown over the past two years and leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to the possibility of the size of round two in June.

“Entries for round one filled up quickly and given all the factors surrounding the next round, including a round of the MX Nationals at Hastings Valley later in the year, as well as the implemented promotion already being put into the round, MNSW implores everyone to get their entries in early, to avoid missing out.”

Interest in round two has already reached boiling point and with the possibility of a large number of Australia’s premier riders all making the trip to Port Macquarie for the second round, coinciding with a big local crowd – 12-14 June will be a weekend to remember.
