The 2010 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza blasts into action this Easter weekend, 3-4 April at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex in Broadford, Victoria, with a record number of entries ensuring plenty of excitement and anticipation heading into the event.
Some of motorycling’s biggest names of yesteryear including Hugh Anderson, Pelle Granquist, Gary Jones, Alan Cathcart, Brian Martin and Warren Willing will be attending and participating in the weekend’s action which will showcase all motorcycle disciplines.
The HBBB – initiated as a venture of Motorcycling Australia’s (MA) Museum & Heritage Committee – is intended as a non-competitive celebration of motorcycling, and will feature demonstrations on all manner of historic bikes, as well as trade and club stalls, a gala dinner, swap meets and historic bike displays.
One such bike on display will be a bike which has been recently acquired by the MA Museum, having not been seen in public for over 40 years – an Elsbury Velocette, which is a famous racing machine from the immediate post-war period.
There will be plenty for everyone over the course of the weekend – whether you ride and want in on the action, have an old bike to show off or you simply enjoy a passion for motorcycle sport – there will be something on offer at this year’s Bonanza.
The MA’s Riders’ Division will be on hand throughout both days of the 2010 HBBB, and full coverage of the event will also be provided on the MA website at www.ma.org.au/hbbb which will include photo galleries, interviews and more.
Spectators and riders will still be able to purchase tickets on both Saturday and Sunday.
