Off-Road: Safari features Ambassador for American riders

The Australasian Safari, with its long history of competition throughout Australia and more recently Western Australia, is expanding to better service the growing interest coming from America.

In 2010, the event will be announcing Safari Ambassadors from all corners of the globe. The Safari Ambassador will be the conduit to the Safari office and a local point of contact for international competitors.

The event has welcomed into the Safari team Justin Maley of Maley Motorsports. Maley, located in Southern California will be able to assist all U.S, South American and Canadian based competitors in the Moto and Quad Categories – with enquiries relating to this years and future Safaris. Maley will also have access to official event information, media access, and freight, customs and Government clearances.

Maley is an Australian Citizen that grew up riding in Australia and riding the terrain the 2010 Safari will run on. Now living and working in the U.S Justin has worked with many of the world’s top Motocross and Off-Road riders. With his understanding of long distance and off-road races as well as what competitors will be dealing with in Australia, Maley is the perfect North/South American Ambassador.

The Safari attracts a considerable number of high profile international competitors whose participation draws additional media interest in their own countries as their progress is followed. The gruelling seven-day off-road rally involves competitors in four-wheel drives, motorbikes and quad-bikes racing the clock as they test their driving skills across 3,700 kilometres of challenging outback terrain.

Taking place entirely in Western Australia, the competitors will experience the pristine City of Perth and the unique outback Western Australia.
