Motologic Racing press release:
After a fantastic preliminary round at Phillip Island earlier this month, Motologic is heading across Bass Strait for round 2 of the ASBK series which will be held at Symmons Plains in Tasmania on April 5th and 6th. 2009 has already been successful for Motologic Racing, with both Glenn Allerton and Wayne Maxwell performing outstandingly at Phillip Island during the World Superbike event.
Heading into round 2 of the Australian Superbike Championship, both riders are well positioned to take back the coveted championship lead with Allerton only 1 point behind Suzuki’s Josh Waters. The team at Motologic have been hard at work, ensuring that the Honda CBR1000RRs are ready for action at Symmons Plains.
Motologic owner, Paul Free feels confident going into round 2 that both Allerton and Maxwell will lead the pack. “The guys have been working solidly since the first round and with the new Dyno Dynamics Dyno we have just installed at Motologic, we have been able to make some really positive development with the bikes. I think round 2 will prove to be a very successful weekend for the team.”
The riders themselves are eager to get back on their CBR1000RRs and have been training well in the interim.
“I’m keen to get to Symmons Plains and move into the lead in the championship, I feel strong and focused after some intense weeks of training and I know the team have made some good developments with the bikes too, so it should be a terrific weekend of racing”, says the current champ, Glenn Allerton.
Not to be outdone, Glenn’s Motologic Racing team-mate, Wayne Maxwell is every bit as motivated going into round 2.
“I had a really good result at Symmons Plains last year on the CBR600RR, so I am looking forward to the challenge on the 1000. After a successful initial round at Phillip Island, I’m happy with the changes the team have made to the bike set-up and I feel confident of obtaining even better results in Tasmania.”
