Empire Kawasaki has announced a new three-year partnership with Penrite, with the Australian-owned oil company becoming the naming rights sponsor for the newly branded Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki team.

Empire Kawasaki has announced a new three-year partnership with Penrite, as the Australian-owned oil company becomes the naming-rights partner under the Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki team.

Penrite – a long-standing supporter of Australian motorsport – is already the primary backer of the Penrite ProMX Championship and has played a key role in supporting Brett Metcalfe’s GO24 team.

Now, the brand is further solidifying its presence in the sport by aligning with Empire Kawasaki for the coming seasons.

“We’ve been working on this for a couple of years,” team manager Tyson Cherry told MotoOnline. They first approached us at the Melbourne Supercross about becoming a naming rights sponsor, and from there, everything fell into place. It’s a huge opportunity for us. Penrite is an Australian-owned company, so it’s a great partnership for both sides, especially for us, teaming up with a major local brand.

“This deal really elevates our professional image. We already have Kawasaki, which is massive, but bringing in a major oil company as a sponsor adds even more credibility. Even the new team name, Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki, speaks for itself.”

The Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki squad will field Luke Clout on a KX450, alongside Cambell Williams (MX2) and Taylah McCutcheon (MXW) on KX250’s for the 2025 season, with the team set to debut its new look at the opening round of ProMX at Wonthaggi on March 22-23.
