Seven-rider 2025 Yamaha roster set across MX1, MX2, MX3 and MXW.
Former national MX1 champion Aaron Tanti’s return to CDR Yamaha Monster Energy alongside Jed Beaton has been made official for 2025, with the manufacturer outlining its seven-rider ProMX roster across CDR, Yamalube Yamaha Racing and WBR Yamaha.
Tanti won the outdoor title with CDR in 2022 and then finished P4 in his title defence last year, before taking the gamble to ride for PRMX onboard a Kawasaki in Monster Energy AMA Supercross this year.
Injuries impacted the 28-year-old’s US season, before he managed to complete the Canadian Triple Crown Series in fourth overall, and later returned home with Boost Mobile Honda Racing to finish fifth in the Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX).
It was initially expected that Tanti would continue internationally, however, instead he has come full-circle in returning to CDR and Yamaha, motivated to contest for another MX1 title in the new year. Both he and Beaton’s contracts will extend through the AUSX series towards the end of next year.
“I had a career goal to race in the US and, while it was frustrating in many ways and a lot of injuries, I’m glad I did it and feel I learned a lot from it,” Tanti commented. “I wanted to return home and to reunite with Craig [Dack] and the team is awesome.
“2022 was my best season and being back on a YZ450F, surrounded by the CDR team, I’m confident I can get back to my best and be a real challenger in both the ProMX and Australian Supercross Championships.”
Yamalube Yamaha Racing will field two riders instead of three for 2025, retaining Ryder Kingsford and Jayce Cosford in the MX2 category, while signalling the departure of Kaleb Barham. WBR Yamaha has re-signed Koby Hantis, who will be joined by new recruit Ky Woods in MX3, and Madi Simpson is another addition in MXW.
