Kingsford breaks through for maiden SX3 win at Adelaide AUSX

85 Cup victory secures championship lead for Nunn.

Kayd Kingsford has broken through to claim his first SX3 overall victory at the Boost Mobile Supercross Sprint, marking the penultimate round of the 2024 Fox Australian Supercross Championship in Adelaide.

The WBR Bulk Nutrients Yamaha rider registered a 3-1 scorecard to claim the overall win ahead of teammate Koby Hantis (WBR Bulk Nutrients Yamaha), who emerged as the winner of race one before lodging a P4 in the final encounter.

Europe-bound Jake Cannon (Mongrel Boots Honda Racing) closed out the podium with 2-3 results, while the top five was completed by championship leader Seth Burchell (WBR Bulk Nutrients Yamaha) and Jack Byrne (Husqvarna). Burchell continues to lead the standings with a seven-point margin over Hantis.

In the 85 Cup, GasGas-mounted Jack Nunn stepped up to secure the round win with 5-1 scores, narrowly edging out race two winner Heath Davy (Yamaha Junior Racing) for the top spot.

Seth Thomas (GasGas Junior Racing Team), who won the opening final, was third overall ahead of Cooper Ford (KTM Junior Racing Team) and Deegan Fort (Yamaha Junior Racing). Nunn leads the standings by two points over Thomas as the series heads to Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on 30 November for the championship decider.
