Quad Lock backs Savatgy and Wilson for Adelaide AUSX weekend
Incoming title sponsorship unveiled for Honda Racing SX1 teammates.
Honda Racing teammates Joey Savatgy and Dean Wilson will feature Quad Lock as a high-profile title sponsor in next weekend’s fourth round of AUSX at the Adelaide 500.
The internationals have been largely dominant across the opening three rounds of the 2024 Fox Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX), sitting 1-2 in the SX1 standings.
Quad Lock’s arrival is a significant one for the Yarrive Konsky-led Honda organisation, marking a continuation of the team’s revolving partnership structure across its fleet of factory team CRFs. It’s a brand that is globally recognised and known for its innovative and durable mounting solutions for smartphones and other devices.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Quad Lock to the Honda Racing family,” Konsky commented. “Both brands share a passion for adventure, high performance, and pushing the limits of innovation. It’s also a great honour to be supported by a leading Australian company.
“This is the perfect stage for Quad Lock and Honda to come together. With over 200,000 people expected – including car and motorcycle enthusiasts and a diverse cycling crowd – we invite everyone to stop by our trucks to check out Quad Lock’s products and grab a signed poster from one of our riders. Quad Lock’s support is invaluable as we continue to chase three more championships.”
Savatgy started the season in Redcliffe with NAPA Auto Parts backing, followed by Boost Mobile at Wollongong last weekend. Wilson, meanwhile, has raced with major support from transport industry companies, SCT Logistics and Attards. Quad Lock will feature across both team riders between 15-17 November in the South Australian event.
“For the past 20 years, Honda Racing has been hugely successful in Australia and Honda’s reputation as an iconic brand fits perfectly with our products,” explained Quad Lock sports marketing lead director Dom Story.
“We’ll have a Quad Lock activation at the Adelaide 500, part of our display will include Honda motorcycles equipped with our mounts. We’re excited to cheer on the Quad Lock Honda Racing team and look forward to an exciting weekend for fans, riders and drivers.”
In addition to Savatgy and Wilson, Quad Lock branding will be included across all nine Honda Racing entries, inclusive of Aaron Tanti and Kyle Webster – who’s expected to be returning – in SX1, as well as SX2 red plate-holder Shane McElrath, Cole Thompson, Noah Ferguson, Alex Larwood, and Jake Cannon in SX3.
