Team Australia capped off a rain-affected week of competition at the 2024 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Galicia, Spain, with the runner-up result in the Women’s World Trophy (WWT), as well as fourth position in both the World Trophy and Junior World Trophy classifications.

The United States team won the Women’s category for the second-straight year, leading home Australian trio Jess Gardiner, Danielle McDonald and Tayla Jones by over six minutes, with Sweden – including Australian-base Emelie Karlsson – claiming third.

In the event individually won by EnduroGP champion Jocep Garcia (Red Bull KTM), it was France that won the World Trophy ahead of Team USA and Spain, while the Junior division was won by Sweden over France and the US team.

Australia’s World Trophy team was made up of Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) E1 champion Kyron Bacon alongside Jonte Reynders, Cooper Sheidow and experienced international Josh Strang, while the Junior team included Gus Riordan in addition to Korey McMahon and Will Dennett.

Best-performing Australians individually included Gardiner on her way to third overall in the Women’s field, while US-based Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series regular Riordan impressed on his way to P6 in the category and fifth of the E1 class finishers. He was the top-finishing Australian at the conclusion of the six days, a few positions clear of Bacon, while Reynders earned P8 in the E2 ranks.
