Cole, a big win for you here in Vegas. How does it feel?

Yeah, it’s definitely a good feeling. I was P1 in the first qualifying session, P1 in the second qualifying and P1 in the race. So, yeah perfect day today, I’m stoked.

You were one of the only riders doing the quad-quad in that rhythm section. Take us through your approach to that.

It wasn’t too bad, it was pretty chill. It was almost easier going four-four than doing all the other little rhythms and trying to time them. So, it wasn’t bad.

Seeing the progression over the last couple of years, take us through the transition of moving from New Zealand to America and being picked up by the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team.

Yeah, it’s definitely a big transition. The whole atmosphere over here is pretty huge, I’ve come a long way since I first rode the Yamaha track back in 2022. I was struggling to get around, but now I’m enjoying it and loving the bike. It’s been good!

Can you explain your feeling when arriving at these events, you’ve had a lot of big wins now in your amateur career. How is that confidence and belief now?

Yeah, today I was first in both qualifying sessions, so being on the gate I was definitely confident. Then, in qualifying we were doing some practice starts and I think I holeshotted both of them, so I was pretty confident that I was going to go out there and do good.

What’s next for you?

A quick little off-season, do some training back at the farm, then you’ll find out.

For the Australians or New Zealanders back at home, what’s your advice, or things that you did three or four years ago to set you up to be where you are now?

Honestly, just set a plan for what you want to do, dream it, and live it.
