Supercross-only rider returning to a factory team for 2024 season.
GasGas Racing Team has signed Dylan Wills for the 2024 Fox Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX), set for his third season in the SX1 ranks and making his way back onto a factory-level team.
Wills will be equipped with the updated new 2025 model MC 450F and is again on a supercross-only schedule for the upcoming season, which begins in Redcliffe on October 12-13.
After finishing fourth in his rookie SX1 campaign during the 2022 season with a breakout main event podium to his credit while riding for the official Husqvarna Racing Team at the time, 28-year-old Wills rebounded from a pre-season injury last year to salvage P6 in the final standings under a satellite-type Husqvarna arrangement.
“I’m stoked to be teaming up with the GasGas Racing Team for the 2024 Australian Supercross Championship,” Wills exclaimed. “It’s not every day you find a brand that you think you really fit in with, the GASGAS DNA and brand are things I’ve always really liked, so it’s a really cool partnership for me and I’m looking forward to making the most of it.
“I’ve been on the 2025 GASGAS MC 450F for about a week now and I’m really liking it, the team have given me a great base setup to start with, so I’m excited to get to work and continue improving it further.
“Teaming up with Byron Dennis is also a highlight for me, he’s a young rider that I have a lot of time for and have spent a lot of time with over the years, so it’s kind of a full circle moment for me, I’m looking forward to seeing the number 64 and six under the GasGas rig at Redcliffe!”
The addition of Wills sees him take over the GasGas Racing Team premier class seat left vacant by Kirk Gibbs following his standout ProMX campaign, since the former national champion only races outdoors at this point of his career. Byron Dennis will remain onboard the MC 250F as the team’s SX2 entry.
