Former Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) E1 champion Kyron Bacon will make guest appearances in the next two rounds of the EnduroGP World Championship as he continues to evaluate his future overseas.

The ShopYamaha Off-Road Racing rider, who secured a podium finish in Portugal last year within the Junior category, will contest the J1 division across round four in Italy this weekend, followed by round five in Slovakia from 12-14 July.

It’s understood the 22-year-old Tasmanian will be supported by a European-based Yamaha team as he bases himself in Sweden for the multi-week stay, where he’s also set to contest a round of the Swedish off-road series.

Bacon will join fellow Australian and EnduroGP regular Wil Ruprecht (Sherco), who currently sits 19th in the outright standings and seventh in the E2 World Championship classification.

After a femur injury halted his 2023 campaign, Bacon has rebounded with five E1 class round wins from six so far this year in AORC, where he currently leads the standings equipped with the WR250F.
