Hunter Valley venue reverting to a single-day format for next year.
Maitland will remain on the Penrite ProMX Championship calendar for 2024 after being named round four, reverting to a Sunday-only event on 26 May after a two-day format was trialled this year.
The Hunter Valley-based New South Wales venue has been a staple on the Australian motocross schedule since ProMX was launched by Motorcycling Australia (MA) three seasons ago.
“The ProMX championship round in Maitland is always one of the halo events on the calendar ā a great track, superb facilities and spectators who come from far and wide to witness motocross racing at its finest,” said MA CEO Peter Doyle.
“All the important elements are covered and Iām looking forward to the Maitland District Motorcycle Club again putting on an outstanding event.”
The confirmation of Maitland leaves just one location ā round five scheduled for 23 June ā to be announced on next year’s calendar following its initial release late last week, also expected to be in New South Wales.
