A World Supercross Championship (WSX) shuffle ahead of the second round of the 2023 season this weekend sees the addition of current Australian MX2 champion Wilson Todd and Kyle Webster to the SX2 field at Etihad Arena.

Todd competed in the series last year with Fire Power Honda Racing and returns to the WSX championship with Yarrive Konsky’s outfit following a successful domestic campaign outdoors, where he scored his fourth title in the class.

The Queenslander will line-up alongside global SX2 number two Max Anstie in the squad, in place of American Gage Linville, while Webster – a Honda Racing regular in Australia – joins the Honda Nils team, also on a CRF250R.

Webster last raced a 250F in the 2021 Penrite ProMX Championship, where he dominated the shortened championship before making the transition to a 450 in 2022. He steps in on what is understood to be a loan-type deal, lining up alongside Chris Blose, effectively taking the spot of Kyle Peters.

Todd and Webster join countrymen Aaron Tanti (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy), Luke Clout (CDR Yamaha Monster Energy) and Matt Moss (ClubMX) on the entry list for Abu Dhabi, meaning five Australians are set to take to the gate come Saturday.
