While Yamaha-supported Dean Ferris dominated MX1 at Toowoomba, it was a mixed affair for CDR Yamaha Monster Energy duo Aaron Tanti and Luke Clout in round six of the 2023 Penrite ProMX Championship, claiming third and sixth overall, respectively. MX2 saw Rhys Budd – using a 2005-themed Serco Yamaha livery for retro round – ride to fourth overall and Yamalube Yamaha Racing’s Kaleb Barham take ninth, while Charli Cannon made her first appearance of the season in the category.
