Five-rider line-up revealed ahead of Romania in July.
A five-rider Team Australia line-up has been announced ahead of the upcoming 2023 Junior Motocross World Championship (WJMX), set to take place in Romania between 7-9 July.
Ky Woods and Jake Cannon will compete in the 125cc category, while Jack Nunn and Lachlan Allen will take to the gate in the 85cc division and Zander Kruik will line-up in the 65cc class. Ross Beaton has been named as team manager once more.
“Congratulations to the talented riders chosen to represent Team Australia in the FIM world junior motocross championship,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle. “Do us proud and enjoy every moment. With Ross Beaton as Team Manager, I have no doubt that this team will excel.”
Cannon and Woods are currently third and seventh respectively in the MX3 category of the Penrite ProMX Championship, with Cannon also claiming the 100cc to 125cc 2/-13 to under 15 years Australian Junior Motocross Championship (AJMX) last year.
Nunn and Allen were second and third respectively in the MX85 WJMX Qualifier Cup class contested at select rounds of this year’s ProMX Championship, while Kruik recently captured the 2023 Queensland Junior Motocross title in the 65cc 10-u12 category.
