Refreshed 12-round schedule spans from March to October.
A refreshed 2023 Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) calendar has been revealed, featuring 12 rounds that take place between March and October.
Including multiple venues that didn’t feature in last year’s championship the series spans across four states and commences at Mendooran, New South Wales, for rounds one and two on 25-26 March.
One month later, rounds three and four take place at Queensland Moto Park on 22-23 April, before moving down south to Edenhope, Victoria for rounds five and six on 22-23 July.
The venue for rounds seven and eight is TBC, however, will take place in South Australia on 26-27 August. Kyogle, NSW marks the penultimate stop for the 2023 season, between 16-17 September, as the series finals take place at Dungog, New South Wales on October 14-15.
Notably, Wynyard, Nowra, Mackay and Cherrabah do not feature on next season’s schedule, and there are no ‘double-header’ rounds with the Penrite ProMX Championship, as seen at Mackay.
“We are pleased to see one of our most prestigious championships carrying momentum into the new year,” Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle. “The AORC management team has worked hard to ensure the continued success of the championship as we look toward a big 2023.
“This exciting calendar ensures a diverse mix of venues to provide exciting racing at regular venues as well as new challenges for riders across the season.
“With championship and event partners back onboard, we’re expecting significant turnouts and participation – We can’t wait for the season to get underway.”
