Round four of the 2022 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) again saw Josh Green and Kyron Bacon emerge atop their class podiums again, as Jonte Reynders also won on Saturday in Mackay.

With the rain falling this morning, it was ShopYamaha Off-Road Racing’s Green who maintained his winning ways in E2 ahead of teammate Michael Driscoll and Husqvarna’s Todd Waters.

Like Green, ShopYamaha E1 rider Bacon was once again the winner in class this afternoon from GasGas rider Korey McMahon and Cooper Sheidow (KTM), who completed the podium.

E3 saw a new winner for the season in Sherco’s Jonte Reynders, ahead of Friday victor Andy Wilksch (Simford Racing Husqvarna) and KTM-equipped Stefan Granquist.

The EJ class was won today by Yamaha rider William Dennett, joined in the top three by Kobi Wolff and Billy Hargy, as the EW podium was a repeat of yesterday with Jess Gardiner (JGR Yamaha) leading KTM’s Emelie Karlsson and Ebony Nielsen.

There will now be a three-month break in AORC as attention turns to the Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE), as well as the high-profile Finke and Hattah desert races. Rounds five and six will be held in Kyogle, NSW, on 16-17 July.
