Kyle Cunningham took a convincing round win in the SX Lites at the final round of the Monster Energy Super X championships held in Brisbane on Saturday 5 December.

Riding on Pirelli Scorpion MX Mid Hard 454 , Cunningham took a win and two seconds in the SX Lites the Pro Lites finals races.

Fellow Serco rider Kirk Gibbs had an unlucky night, with a big crash in the first final ending his night with a collarbone injury. Team JDR motorsports rider Ryan Marmont finished seventh overall for the final round, finishing as high as third in the first of three final moto’s.

Chad Reed took out the SX Open class with a convincing final round win in front of the big Brisbane crowd.

The 2009 Super X season has now concluded with three Pirelli Yamaha riders finishing in the top ten overall of the SX Lites Championship. Kyle Cunningham (Serco Yamaha) finished second behind championship winner Matt Moss (Team Motul Shift Suzuki), with Ryan Marmont (JDR Mootrsports/MX Rad) fourth and Kirk Gibbs (Serco Yamaha) seventh on Pirelli Scorpion MX tyres.
