The current pause in ProMX…

I mean obviously, it’s not really ideal, but at the end of the day what really can we do about it. It’s a strange world we live in at the moment, it’s the first time for everyone to deal with this so you have got to do what you’ve got to do to keep everyone safe. I mean it is frustrating for a rider trying to maintain through the season then on and off,  getting ready for races then races getting postponed, it’s really hard to get ready for the next one and also stay motivated, it’s tough. At the end of the day it is what it is.

Possibility of being crowned champion after three rounds…

Look, I mean obviously, the thought of it has. With the way things are going and the way things are looking it could certainly be the possibility that Maitland was the deciding factor to the championship. For me to have a DNF at round one and come back to be taking the potential championship it could be crazy. I would have liked to have raced all the races and hopefully we can continue and do that and I can be crowned the champion. We will just have to take it how it comes and see how it goes, me looking at it I think it’s going to be a pretty hard task to finish it off, especially with the way everything is looking.

Keeping active during the break…

Mate, to be honest I’m not doing much because we are in a pretty severe lockdown. It’s tough because all the guys in Queensland are out riding and regional Victoria is out riding staying ready to go racing, then you have us guys in New South Wales – I’ve ridden a handful of times since Maitland. It’s a pretty crappy situation for someone like myself that has literally been stuck in a house. Running and cycling are literally all I can do at the moment. I’ve been playing some golf and just trying to get out of the house, that’s basically all I’m trying to do. Riding is a really hard task at the moment, it’s really tough to gain motivation to get up and go cycling and go running but even that is getting hard now because we’ve been doing it for so long. It’s starting to get a little bit boring, I want to go racing and I want to go and ride my bike but the way we are and the way the situation is are just not allowing it.

Motocross of Nations (MXoN) interest…

I haven’t been approached from MA or anyone – I haven’t heard anything. I’d love to represent my country, it’s one of the biggest races in the world, if not the biggest. I feel like I’m in the form of my career at the moment – I’m riding really well and I’d love to go and represent my country. The way things are looking here I’m not sure if we will be racing so I would love to step up and go racing and represent my country but we need to see how that goes, it’s a pretty tough situation having to travel overseas and quarantine and what not. I think we need to know what’s happening because there’s big question marks with everything and no answer, I think all the riders, teams and all people involved need a little bit of clarity as to what’s happening as we are kind of left in limbo. Potentially I could be missing MXoN and missing races that we could be doing. I’m just sitting here waiting to find out what is happening with our series, little bit frustrating but like I said it is what it is and we have just got to deal with what we have got to deal with.
