The bi-annual Farm Jam returns to action this weekend near Winton in New Zealand, marking the 10th edition of the unique action sports event.

It’s promising to be the biggest and best yet, with the 2020 instalment set to Tyler Bereman headline the moto line-up alongside familiar faces from Australia, such as Dylan Long and Lewis Woods.

“The interest that Farm Jam 2020 has gathered from the general public, riders and the industry is both exciting and encouraging,” said Farm Jam co-organiser Brett Frew. “Since we began in 2007, a lot of our growth has been organic and word-of-mouth. It’s taken countless hours and effort to get to this point, but when we see the smiles on the faces of both the riders and fans, it’s worth it.”

With gates opening on Saturday, Farm Jam co-organiser Dan Frew is looking forward to seeing some of the world’s best action sports athletes and world champions ride alongside a solid contingent of talented local riders.

“The biggest thing that differentiates the Farm Jam from other contests is the fact that there are no judges in towers scrutinising every run and trick,” he explained. “The Farm Jam is completely rider-judged, and regardless of whether you ride a dirt bike, BMX or mountain-bike, the camaraderie between everyone makes it very special.”

The Farm Jam gates at 738 Otapiri Gorge Rd, Winton, open at 11am local time with the contests taking place between noon and 6pm.
