Justin Brayton, Luke Clout and Dan Reardon have once more given Dunlop Geomax a SX1 podium clean sweep, while Aaron Tanti and Jay Wilson continue their strong form with third and fourth respectively in SX2. This gives Tanti the championship lead on what has been described as the biggest supercross track of the season, consisting of nine lanes of obstacles in Gillman, South Australia, thanks to Troy Bayliss Events

Brayton continued his domination in SX1 aboard the Penrite Honda CRF450 taking all wins on offer. However, the CDR Yamaha Monster Energy duo of Clout and Reardon kept the American honest, with Reardon taking Superpole, despite a heavy fall early in the day. Yamalube Yamaha racer Richie Evans proved once again that he’s got the speed and skills with fifth, and Husqvarna-backed privateer Jesse Dobson overcame bike issues during practice to record seventh, securing tenth in the championship standings.

It was a battle from the outset in SX2, with early favourite Jacob Hayes going down hard, leaving Aaron Tanti and Jay Wilson to battle towards the front, trading places several times. Tanti ultimately finished ahead of Wilson, taking the final podium position and the SX2 Championship lead.

Dunlop Motorsport Manager, Robbie Bugden: “Troy Bayliss Events and Pro-Traxx outdid themselves this weekend. The track was of epic proportions. Of course, we’re happy to see Dunlop Geomax with another 1-2-3 and leading both the SX1 and SX2 classes, however, it’s not a surprise for us. Racing is tough, especially in supercross where anything can happen, but we have a host of great riders choosing Dunlop, and we have a product that performs at the highest level both here and around the world. It was unfortunate for Jacob Hayes to go down in the final. The Serco rider is in great form and I’m sure would’ve factored into the results if not for his incident. With three weeks before the third round in Wollongong, I’m sure the riders are looking forward to the chance to regroup and come out swinging in what is shaping up to be an impressive weekend, with the event partnering with the Australian Motorcycle Festival.”
