Wide range of Australian athletes in search of gold medal haul.
X Games Minneapolis 2018 takes centre-stage this weekend on 19-22 July in the United States, as the world’s leading action sports athletes vie for the gold medals including an assortment of Moto X categories.
The QuarterPipe High Air final will take place on Friday evening, as well as the Freestyle final, while Saturday’s Moto X action will include the Step Up, Best Whip and Best Trick finals.
Of the Australians invited for the 2018 edition, keep an eye out for Jarryd McNeil (QuarterPipe High Air/Step Up/Best Whip), Rob Adelberg (Best Trick/Freestyle), Harry Bink (Best Trick/Freestyle), Josh Sheehan (Best Trick/Freestyle/Best Whip) and Jackson Strong (Best Trick/Freestyle).
In addition, alongside the Flat Track contest, this year’s X Games will include Hooligan racing on the schedule, including Australia’s own freestyle icon and ‘daredevil’ Robbie Maddison lining up as one of the headline entries. One major freestyle casualty already has been Clinton Moore, who broke his leg during practice earlier today.
X Games will make its first-ever official Australian appearance later this year in Sydney, scheduled to include a who’s who of top action sports athletes in the mix between 19-21 October.
