Supercross form earns Australian Rock River Yamaha opportunity.
Australian export Hayden Mellross will contest the entire Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship with CycleTrader Rock River Yamaha.
The 22-year-old has been on a supercross-only deal in the past few years of his US career with 51Fifty Energy Drink Yamaha, however he has now gained an opportunity outdoors.
Mellross finished 10th in this year’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West series as part of the 51Fifty team, to remain on-board a YZ250F in the 250 Class as part of the Rock River organisation.
The last time Mellross rode outdoors for a complete campaign was 2015, claiming best results of 13th overall at Muddy Creek and Ironman Raceway. He also rode select races on a 450 in 2016, taking 14th at Budds Creek.
