Australian champion Justin Brayton claimed a first-career Monster Energy AMA Supercross main event victory at Daytona International Speedway over the weekend, round 10 of the 2018 season.

The Smartop Bullfrog Spas Honda rider won his heat and then went on to lead all but one lap of the 450SX final, topping Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Cooper Webb (Monster Energy Yamaha).

It was a courageous performance for Tomac, making his way forward from an early incident, while fourth and fifth positions belonged to Christian Craig (Team Honda HRC) and Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM), who led one lap only to crash heavily directly afterwards.

Points leader Jason Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) endured one of his worst rounds of the year, seventh across the finish following an incident of his own, as Australian Chad Reed (Team CR22 Husqvarna) brought it home in 12th.

In the 250SX East final it was Troy Lee Designs Red Bull KTM’s Jordan Smith who claimed his first win of the year, leading the duration to head Jeremy Martin (Geico Honda) and Austin Forkner (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki). Zach Osborne (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) was P4, now tied atop the standings with Forkner.

The 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship will continue next Saturday, 17 March, in St. Louis for round 11 of the season.
