Stewart to remain Suzuki-mounted as Bogle returns to action.
Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki will field three 450SX riders in the Glendale, Arizona, round of 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, maintaining Malcolm Stewart upon the return of Justin Bogle.
JGRMX’s line-up expands to three riders for the fourth rounds of the season, with Stewart and Bogle joining the in-form Weston Peick. This weekend will mark Bogle’s first supercross appearance with the team.
“I couldn’t be happier to be with the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team for another weekend!” Stewart said. “It’s been great working with these guys the past couple weeks. Getting the opportunity to be with them for another race is awesome.”
Team manager Jeremy Albrecht commented: “It has been great having Malcolm on the team. He gets along well with everyone and he has a very positive attitude. We’re happy to say that he will be on the track this weekend and racing for the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing Team. We are currently exploring to see what our options are for Malcolm to be on the factory Suzuki RM-Z450 for more races.”
The 2016 250SX East championship winner Stewart has turned heads as a fill-in rider on the factory RM-Z450 in Houston and Anaheim, scoring back-to-back 11th place finishes despite eight months away from racing. He was due to ride his own private Kawasaki prior to landing the deal at JGRMX.
