Suzuki Motorcycles Australia has released it’s highly-anticipated 2018 RM-Z450 to the public today, which is now available at dealerships across the country.

More than 40 years of open-class race bike engineering has been poured into the 2018 premier class machine to make it the hardest-hitting, sharpest-handling, best-balanced and most rider-friendly production motocrosser in company history.

Today marks the official on sale date for Australian customers, and with the first shipment of stock already selling quickly, customers are encouraged to visit their local authorised Suzuki motorcycle dealer to secure their bike.

For 2018 Suzuki went ahead and completely revised the RM-Z450 to give its design a fresh new look and to ensure both the engine and chassis perform better than ever on-track.

Suzuki aimed to further evolve the fundamental performance elements of run, turn and stop in order to combine a winning balance of characteristics to make the latest flagship model a success in years to come.

To give riders the advantage, Suzuki redesigned the 2018 RM-Z450 engine to feature more low-end torque, a flatter overall torque curve, faster and yet more controllable throttle response, and more peak power

The all-new model is also fitted with an updated 49mm Showa coil-spring fork based on works A-type design replaces the SFF-Air fork of the previous-generation RM-Z450.

While out back, the new Showa BFRC shock shares technology with the new 2018 GSX-R1000R sportsbike and is also the first production motocross bike to feature this new shock seen on factory race bikes as standard equipment. The design balances pressure above and below the piston to better control the stroke and smooth out reactions to bumps and chop, even under severe braking.

With a recommended retail price of $11,490, the 2018 RM-Z450 represents unbeatable value in a market that is competitive as the sport itself. For more information, visit www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au.
