Talented MX2 athlete Kyle Webster has confirmed he’ll remain with the Penrite CRF Honda Racing outfit for the 2018 Motul MX Nationals and Australian Supercross Championship where he’ll make an assault at the 250 titles on offer.

Webster, who initially joined the New South Wales-based squad in 2016, just completed one of his most successful seasons of motocross, rounding out the 10-stop series in fifth overall with a number of podiums to his name.

“I’m staying with the Penrite CRF Honda Racing team next year,” Webster confirmed with MotoOnline.com.au. “I signed my contract with them to race MX2 again, I really want to have a solid year in MX2 and be a championship contender in 2018.

“Mark Luksich who runs it all is pumped about getting everything done so early, and I can go into supercross not worrying about next year – I can just focus on the task at hand. It’s definitely a big advantage not having to worry about next year at all.”

The newly-signed rider is hopeful of a strong supercross campaign, where he’s looking to carry his outdoor form into the fast approaching series.

“I want to stay healthy and not get hurt during supercross, that’s something that catches a lot of people out. As long as I stay healthy and consistent, I feel like I’ll definitely be in the top five – I’d be happy with that, and if anything better comes along, that would be a bonus.”

The opening round of the Australian Supercross Championship is scheduled for 23 September, at the popular Jimboomba X Stadium venue in Queensland.
