Fresh off a highly-impressive motocross campaign, Wilson Todd has revealed he’s utilising the knowledge of DPH Motosport Yamaha teammate Kade Mosig as he prepares for the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.

Mosig is renowned for his skills on the tighter and technical circuits of supercross, and for Todd, who has just one season of the discipline under his belt, is sponging off the Victorian’s experience which he believes has been helpful ahead of the 2017 series.

“It’s been good, I’ve been down at Kade’s and doing a few laps with him,” Todd explained to MotoOnline.com.au. “It’s been pretty good so far, he has a good track there and it’s super technical, so we’ve been out there doing work – it’s all been coming together.

“Kade’s been there and done it, even with bike setup and things like that, he’s done the testing with factory teams has been around for a long time – he has a lot of knowledge. It’s awesome to have a teammate like him, it’s super helpful.”

The Queenslander, runner-up in the MX2 category of the 2017 Motul MX Nationals, said he hasn’t set an expectation for supercross, although he’d ideally like to be a top five guy throughout the duration of the six-round championship.

“I have no idea what my expectations are,” he continued. “I’d like to be on the podium and be top five every round. I’d like to have a few podiums and finish up in the top three, that would be pretty cool.”

The opening round of the Australian Supercross Championship is scheduled for 23 September at the popular Jimboomba X Stadium venue in Queensland.
