Finishing fourth Outright at last week’s FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) has renewed Daniel Milner’s motivation to return to the event in 2018 for victory.

The newly-crowned Australian Off-Road Champion assisted Team Australia to second overall in the World Trophy standings, while he placed a highly-impressive second in the E2 division.

The Victorian stated the event is something he has always wanted to win Outright, and is disappointed to fall short of top spot after multiple attempts.

“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to win and been so close to doing in the past,” Milner commented. “So it was a bit of a bummer to fall as short as I did, but I’ve got to give it up to the other guys, they were absolutely hammering – and I’ve still got a few more years in me yet

“It’s renewed my motivation. I’m real hungry to win the thing outright, but as a team we want to win it and not have to barge up onto the podium like we did in 2015. We’ll look forward to Chile and see what happens.”

The KTM Enduro Racing Team member revealed there’s a special feeling of representing Australia at the ISDE, mentioning the support of fans adds to motivation of doing the country proud.

“The vibe that comes from being in the Australian team just makes you want to do our country proud,” he continued. “And all the people on social media telling us how proud they are of us, it’s not just another race where doing your best is okay – you’re proud to be there, knowing that you’ve got so much support over here, and the team riders are all behind each other.”
