Australian Women's team earns fifth-consecutive title in France.
France has been crowned the 2017 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) World Trophy champions after edging out Australia for the top spot on the final day of proceedings in Brive, France.
Australia was a close second after maintaining the position all week, as KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner was credited the runner-up spot in the E2 class.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Daniel Sanders moved to third in E3, as CH Sherco Racing’s Matthew Phillips retained fifth in the same division. Yamalube Active8 Yamaha’s Josh Green also held on for an impressive seventh place finish in E1.
In the Junior class, it was France who took out yet another title ahead of Italy and Team USA, as Australia was awarded 16th with the absence of Michael Driscoll (Yamaha) and Wil Ruprecht (Yamalube Active8 Yamaha), who both experienced issues on day one, ruling them out of the event.
Australia’s sole Junior contender Lyndon Snodgrass (KTM Enduro Racing Team) ultimately had an individual placing to fight for, earning a respectable 10th in E3.
Team Australia took out an impressive fifth-straight Women’s championship, beating home the talented teams of USA and France. Tayla Jones (Yamaha) was third Outright in the Women’s individual results, followed by Jessica Gardiner (Yamaha) and Jemma Wilson (Yamaha) in sixth and seventh respectively.
