Factory KTM rider continues dominance in New South Wales.
KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner has dominated Kyogle’s ninth and 10th rounds of the 2017 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC), claiming Outright victories on both days of the event in New South Wales.
Saturday’s ninth round saw Active8 Yamaha Yamalube Racing Team’s Wil Ruprecht take a commanding victory in the E1 category with a time of 59m46.196s, beating home Jack Simpson (KTM) and Brad Hardaker (Yamaha) for the top spot.
In E2, it was Milner who dominated the division, crossing the line with a 57m48.113s time, defeating Josh Green (Active8 Yamaha Yamalube Racing Team) by a margin of 1m29.400s, while Yamaha’s Riley Graham was third.
The E3 class victory was captured by Husqvarna Off-Road Racing Team’s Lachlan Stanford, his overall 59m15.472s time outperformed Lyndon Snodgrass (KTM Enduro Racing Team), who completed the day ahead of KTM-mounted Tom Mason.
Ruprecht backed up his Saturday performance with yet another E1 victory on Sunday’s 10th round, racing to a time of 53m46.953s, placing him ahead of Scott Keegan (Snap Fitness Yamaha Team), and KTM-supported Simpson in third.
Milner’s quick time of 52m45.452s in E2 added to his pleasing weekend, as the class saw a repeat podium with Green and Graham finishing second and third respectively.
Concluding the second day in E3 was once again Stanford, lodging an overall time of 53m41.862s to finish ahead of Snodgrass, while third place was awarded to Western Australian Jesse Lawton (KTM).
Rounds 11 and 12 of the AORC are scheduled for 5-6 August, which will mark the title decider at Omeo, Victoria.
