EnduroGP regular Sanders second in one-off Australian return.
KTM Off-Road Racing Team’s Daniel Milner has led a KTM-dominated outright podium at the 2017 Hattah Desert Race in Victoria last weekend.
Milner qualified second in Prologue behind EnduroGP contender Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), but claimed the number one position in the top 10 shootout which determined the starting order.
The Victorian went onto the dominate the gruelling and demanding event, taking a commanding victory to cross the line with an almost five-minute advantage over the field
Sanders was credited the runner-up spot for the second-consecutive year despite leading in the early stages, although when Milner moved into the lead, his efforts to regain control came undone after clipping a downed rider at speed, resulting in a heavy fall for the 2016 AORC champion.
Completing the podium was Lyndon Snodgrass (KTM Off-Road Racing Team), who finished a further four minutes behind Sanders to secure his best finish at the event after eight attempts. The top five was rounded out by youthful talent Callum Norton (KTM) and seasoned desert racer Ivan Long (Husqvarna).
Sixth through to 10th was completed by Lachlan Terry (KTM), Nathan Trigg (KTM), Broc Grabham (Husqvarna Off-Road Racing Team), Josh Murtagh (KTM) and Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna Off-Road Racing Team).
