Raceline Pirelli KTM will field three riders once again, when Morgan Fogarty, Jayden Rykers and newly drafted Jay Wilson take to the track at Nowra for Round 6 of the MX Nationals on Sunday.

Following a highly productive mid season break, the re-energised Raceline squad is set to approach the second half of the season with all guns blazing, with Fogarty, Rykers and Wilson all aiming for top results in the MX2 and MXD categories.

Fogarty, who finished on the MXD podium when he last raced for the team at Murray Bridge in May, says the mid season break is just what he needed, and will be hoping to finish on the podium once again this Sunday.

“Coming into this weekend I feel like I’ve done the work and feel I have made improvements through the break so really looking forward to getting behind the gates again,” Fogarty shared.

“The break has been helpful to me as I’ve had time to make solid changes to the bike and myself been working on the few 1 per centers.

“The last few rounds I want to be on the podium and battling for race wins and make up as many points as I can.”

MX2 pilot Rykers has faced some challenges so far this season, but says that after intense training over the last five weeks, that he’s ironed out the creases and is ready to attack the final five rounds head on.

“The break was well needed for myself, more so I just mentally had a lot going on. It was refreshing returning home for a few days, and also doing some racing along with some coaching which really takes me back to a few years ago and how much work I put in to get here,” Rykers shared

“That time away really let me focus on the one thing that has let me down. It’s seemed to have improved when I tested back in Perth – the field is very strong this year and there isn’t much of a chance to fight your way from 20th to the top three unless you’re running a couple of seconds on average faster than the leaders which no one is.

“Every race of the season is important but as we come to the last five rounds it’s always good to put your best foot forward. I have such a strong family and team behind me with some great knowledge and the equipment to show my full potential so I’m looking forward to reaching that in the remainder of the MX Nationals season.”

Finally, fellow MX2 competitor Wilson will take to the track for the first time this season on Sunday, and shared that it’s been a long time coming for the 2015 MX2 champ.

“For me, this weekend is about finally getting back to doing what I love,” Wilson shared.

“It’s been a few months since I’ve raced and I’ve missed it more than anything. I’m approaching this weekend feeling really relaxed and just grateful that I have this opportunity.

“It’s been a while since I’ve raced the MX2 guys so I’ll just see where I fit in this weekend. I feel more comfortable on the KTM every time I ride it, so I’m looking forward to actually racing it on Sunday.”
