A number of new venues to be introduced from next season.
The 2018 MXGP World Championship series is confirmed to make its way to multiple new venues following the release of an updated provisional calendar for next year’s grand prix season.
For 2018 the world motocross championship will kick off at Neuquen in Patagonia-Argentina on 4 March with the previous Qatar season-opening round being removed from the new schedule completely.
Following the updated season-opener, the series will then head to Red Sands in Spain, an all-new location that will play host to the second round of the series on 25 March.
The Indonesian grand prix has been again confirmed for a 2018 return, although the location will be moved from the previous Pangkal Pinang venue to the new Palembang venue.
Multiple Italian rounds are also set to take place in 2018 with the Trentino event, Imola event and a yet to be announced Italian event listed amongst the provisional calendar rounds.
The 19-round MXGP World Championship series will host a total of four fly away races plus the 2018 Motocross of Nations event on 7 October in America that is yet to receive a confirmed location at this point in time.
