Cade Clason has been provisionally suspended by the FIM following a report from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in Cologne indicating the finding of a non-specified substance under section 6 (stimulants) of the 2017 FIM prohibited list.

Clason’s provisional suspension originates from a urine sample collected at an in-competition test carried out by the FIM at the East Rutherford round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship on 29 April.

Although Clason may request the lifting of his provision suspension or request to attend the analysis of his B sample, the privateer, who’s provisional suspension came into effect on 21 June, is barred from participating in any competition events until further notice.

Jason Anderson, Blake Baggett, Justin Barcia, Ryan Dungey, Davi Millsaps, Marvin Musquin, Malcolm Stewart, Eli Tomac, and Jake Weimer were also tested by WADA in East Rutherford with all riders returning a negative result to any prohibited substances.

Clason race as part of the BWR Engines/K1 Speed outfit for the 2017 American supercross series and is currently competing in the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals in Canada with the Redemption Racing team where he sits eighth overall in the MX1 standings.
