Sherco Australia press release:
Kate Norman will commence her off-road racing season with Sherco this coming weekend at the first two rounds of the 2017 Australian Off-Road Championship. Joining forces with DSR Motul Pirelli Sherco, Norman will race a Sherco 300 SEF-R with backing from Australian Motorcycle Finance and Powerhouse Motorcycles.
The popular racer from Victoria will be contesting all Australian Off-Road Championship rounds, the Hattah Desert Race and other selected race events in 2017.
“I’m absolutely loving the Sherco,” Norman offered. “It’s such an awesome bike. It’s quite different to what I have been riding in the past but I already feel quite comfortable on it. I’m really looking forward to racing it. The suspension is the biggest surprise. On my very first ride I just couldn’t believe how much better it was than what I’d been riding on. It gave me confidence to just enjoy the bike.”
Norman will face stiff competition in the Women’s class at the Australian Off-Road Championship which has produced some of the fastest female enduro racers in the world.
“I’ve been trying to spend more time on the bike. Work has kept me really busy lately but no excuses. I’ll just get out there and enjoy my racing. My new bike will make that quite easy I think.”
Rounds one and two of the Australian Off-Road Championship will be held in Rawson, Victoria this Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23.
