GMR Motorex KTM Junior Racer Jay Wilson has been honoured at the third annual Australasian Dirt Bike Magazine Readers Choice Awards, receiving the accolade of Junior Rider of the Year.
Wilson who joined GMR Motorex KTM Junior Racing in February 2009 has been on the rise to success since joining the team, racking up wins all over the country, and then nailing the World Junior Motocross Championship in the 85cc – 150 F class in August.
Commenting on his award Jay Wilson of Banora Point said, “I’m stoked that junior racing was amongst the awards, and I’m even happier to have won Junior Rider of the Year. All the other nominees are great racers, and equally as worthy so in addition to thanking the readers, I’d like to thank my fellow racers for giving me such great competition all year to develop as a racer.”
