Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Josh Grant will miss this weekend’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross round in Arlington, Texas, as he continues to recover from injury sustained in Oakland last weekend.

Grant enjoyed a consistent start to the season and registered a season-best result of sixth at Anaheim 2, however he was forced out of round five and won’t return to racing in time for Arlington.

Monster Energy Kawasaki confirmed the news with the following statement late this week:

As a result of an injury to his left thumb suffered at round five of Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, Josh Grant will miss round six in Arlington, Texas. Grant’s return to competition is currently being evaluated on a race by race basis.
