Works organisation signs all-new line-up to pilot CRF250RWs.
Team Honda HRC has named Chihiro Notsuka and Michele Cervellin for its factory MX2 World Championship program aboard the CRF250RWs.
With the MXGP title-winning Gariboldi Racing team taking charge of HRC’s official effort in 2017, the team’s MX2 line-up also now comes under the Team Honda HRC banner.
“I am looking forward to riding in the MX2 in the GP’s for the first time,” said Notsuka. “HRC team are very professional and I am confident with their help I will reach my goal of finishing in the top 10.”
Cervellin commented: “Riding for HRC is a dream and I love being a part of this big family. My focus this year is to get into the top 5 and hopefully some podiums.”
Gariboldi has delivered Honda significant success in the past two years with Tim Gajser, clinching the 2015 MX2 crown before going on to seal the MXGP title in 2016. Joining Gajser on the 450 is Evgeny Bobryshev.
The Italian team also fielded factory-supported 250s last season alongside Gajser, which was then separate to the official Team Honda HRC outfit.
