Newly-crowned Australian supercross champion Justin Brayton will join Mike Alessi and Vince Friese at MotoConcepts Racing for the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross championship.

It’s believed Brayton will race aboard a 2017 Honda CRF450R with support from Honda America, however the level of support is yet to be revealed.

Brayton rekindled his relationship with Honda when he commenced testing with them for the Australian series, where he headlined Yarrive Konskey’s Honda Genuine Racing outfit.

Alessi and Friese will continue to race 2016 models in the new year while will also receiving backing from the manufacturer.

Team owner Mike Genova spoke of how competitive the team has been in previous years without manufacturer support, stating that the additional backing from Honda will assist them in being even stronger.

“Since the inception of our team in 2009, we have been doing this successfully on our own with minimal support,” shared Genova. “We have been competitive in both the 250 and 450 class so now, with the support and resources Honda brings to the table we will be an even stronger force.

“In a year where the available rider pool has more talent than ever before, we’re stoked about our rider line-up. These guys are consistent on and off the track and I have a great deal of respect and appreciation because of that.”

MotoConcepts Racing also revealed they’ve enlisted Cameron McAdoo, a rookie in the professional ranks, to contest the Monster Energy Supercross 250SX East category.
