Gavin Faith takes his second win in the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship for Penrite Honda.

Penrite Honda Racing press:

Penrite Honda celebrated Penrite Oils 90th year with a win in Round 4 of the Penrite Australian Supercross Championship.

This is Gavin’s second win of the season and his third podium. His fall in round 2 has affected his position in the championship, however this win has moved him back to third overall.

Gavin is focused on taking out the final two rounds in Sydney and has nothing to lose by putting it all on the line –

“Not finishing round 2 has hurt me; however my win on the weekend has given me a mathematical fighting chance. Indoor racing is my speciality and I am focused on giving my all in an effort to take out both night, said faith”.

Josh Cachia had another trying round after qualifying well inside of the top 10. The hard fighting Victorian fell in the final after being clipped of the start. This was a disappointing end to his home round.

“I am really upset, I wanted a good result on the weekend, the bike is running great and I felt good. It’s like Russian roulette going into the first turn. There are 20 riders being funnelled into a 6 meter first turn. I need to get out of the gate better and keep out of trouble. I want to finish strong, said Cachia”.

The team has a mathematical chance of winning, however regardless of that; they have a primary focus going in to Sydney. They want to win each night and claim the most victories, proving again the Honda CRF250R is the best 250 on the planet.

“We can’t control what other teams and riders do, we can only control what we do. Gavin needs to win both nights to improve his overall position. This is what we are focused on, said Assistant manager Daniel Kersnovske”.
