Victorian maintaining positive attitude despite disappointing results.
National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Kade Mosig is unable to single out the cause of a string of sub-par performances to date in the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship.
Mosig, the 2015 premier class runner-up, is yet to finish higher than sixth place during the first three 20-lap main events of the season, leaving him puzzled as to how he can return to his expected form following a seventh place ride in Adelaide.
“It’s another sort of average result for me and I don’t really know what’s going on,” Mosig reflected. “I’ve been working really hard, I feel like I’m in great shape and I love my bike, but it’s just not been working out for me.”
Although currently Queensland-based, the Victorian hopes this weekend’s event in Melbourne will give him a hometown boost as he shoots for improved results before the season wraps up in Sydney on 13 November.
“I will figure it out, we have three more rounds to go, so we have just ticked by the halfway point and I’m looking forward to Melbourne with a hometown crowd and family there as well,” he added. “I’ll give it my best shot and it will be good to get into a rhythm.”
Mosig currently sits sixth overall in the SX1 points-chase with three rounds remaining on the 2016 Australian Supercross Championship schedule.
